Dear Colleagues,

Greetings from the President.

I humbly thank all the members of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA) for the honour bestowed on me to hold the office of President. I express my gratitude for electing me to the most prestigious and responsible post of President of the ISA and making me to occupy the Chair at Ludhiana on 29th November 2016 during the 64th National Conference of ISA. I really feel it as a proud moment as ours is a professional organisation with membership strength of 24,000 members.

I thank the past Editors in Chief Dr. Bala Bhaskar, Dr. SS Harsoor, Dr. Pramila Bajaj and their teams for the enormous contributions for getting the Indian Journal of Anaesthesia (IJA) Pubmed indexed. Today, our IJA is internationally accepted and the viewership is increasing day by day.

I congratulate Dr. JV Divatia being elected as the Editor-in-Chief of IJA. I wish him and his team of Editors all the best and success. I believe in teamwork, and hope Dr. JV Divatia and his team will take the IJA to greater heights.

Our Journal is published as a monthly issue since 2015; I request the members to see that their institutions subscribe to the Journal, which will be an enormous financial support for the Journal.

I wish you all and your families good luck, a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year 2017.

Long Live ISA.
