The aim is to use decentralised technologies to provide persistent and interoperable
landscapes of FDOs which indeed offers reasons for interesting debates. This very
good paper should have emphasised a little more the challenges and possible
limitations of the approach and relate it to other approaches relying for example
on sustainable and certified repositories as custodians of data. DIDs are an
interesting concept, but it led to a burst of different schemas managed by
communities which will hardly survive.
